Routing Protocols

Routing Protocols
Routing is the process of forwarding packets from one network to another.
Routing table provides all the information needed for a router to forward packets to another router or device.
There are two types of routing table:
       a) Static
       b) Dynamic
Static: A static routing table contains information entered manually. When a table is created , it cannot update the table automatically when there is a change in Internet. The table must be manually altered by the administrator.
Dynamic:  The dynamic routing table must be periodically updated by using one of the dynamic routing protocols.
